Deal of the week: Greggs gives away 50,000 free Festive Bakes

Greggs is offering 50,000 free Festive Bakes and Vegan Festive Bakes plus a hot drink if you download their app.

The delicious deal will end on December 31, so you have plenty of time to grab your free meal and drink.

What is the deal exactly?

You can now claim a free Festive Bake or Vegan Festive Bake with a hot drink at Greggs, by downloading their app.

You can choose drinks based on Greggs’s festive menu, such as:

  • Mint Mocha
  • Mint Hot Chocolate
  • Salted Caramel Latte

If you’re feeling skeptical about downloading another app (there’re too many!), you might be happy to know there are some other perks, in addition to the free bake and hot drink: the Greggs App rewards customers each time they shop.

Find out more: If you’re 18 – 29, we want to hear from you! By taking our quick survey, you’ll be in with a chance of winning a £100 shopping voucher from your choice of Amazon, John Lewis or M&S – plus four £20 vouchers up for grabs too.

Every time a product is purchased – including sweet treats and sandwiches – customers get a new stamp. This means when you collect nine stamps, your 10th item will be free.

The app also allows customers to skip the festive queues with Click + Collect orders and offers a free sweet treat on their birthday.

Why should I care?

Um… free food?

What’s the catch?

While many perks come with downloading an app, it is also probably a method used by Greggs to incentivise people to download their app – not that we mind, after all, it is free food.

Plus, do you have storage space on your phone? It might be trickier for those who have already used up their limited memory on their phones to download another app.

What alternatives are there?

If you’d like something else from the Greggs menu, money-saving site TopCashback is giving new members £5 back on a £10+ spend on Just Eat.
